Intro to our American Heritage - Pittsburgh

The first of many Blogs about our American Heritage. I believe we can learn allot about ourselves as human beings from our predecessor's. History seems to repeat its self especially if we don't learn from it.

Even though our forefather were not perfect men they were did accomplish important things that affect us still today.

My intent of this Blog is to annotate my experiences and thoughts as I travel throughout the country seeing and learning thinks that are important to me. Hopefully if you are reading this you will glean a bit of your heritage and become more aware of what a great country we have despite the disfunction we face these days in the government of our rights and laws.

May God Bless you and bless you with the Patriotism of agency.

Pittsburgh

Me at the Jefferson Memorial while visiting at Jefferson Memorial Park in Pittsburgh (401 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburg, PA 15236).  The park is actually a funeral home/cemetery called  "Jefferson Memorial Cemetery and Funeral Home".  http://www.jeffersonmemorial.biz/

Our original intent for visiting was to locate another one of George Washington's "Houdon" replica statues. There are over 30 replicas. Many are made by the Gorham Manufacturing Co.; however there are other reproductions by other artists.

This is one of the Washington replica's. It was found in the Jefferson Mausoleum.

Keep following to find out where the rest of them are. I will also let you know the symbolisms found within the statue that will lead you to a better understanding of who the father of our country was.
